If moving to California, or to a new location in CA, Mountain View is a place to carefully consider. The pros: nearby Rancho San Antonia park, which has beautiful hiking and biking trails and is a bit of heaven in the bay; it near Santa Cruz, San Jose, and San Francisco; has easy access to public transportation; Castro St. is quaint, with cute stores and a variety of good restaurants.
