What BestPlaces Users Say about Boca Raton

Boca Raton, Florida is a popular city located in Palm Beach County known for its sunny weather, beautiful beaches, and affluent lifestyle. It is home to many retirees and young professionals looking for a relaxed yet upscale environment to live in. With a diverse population and a mix of suburban and urban areas, Boca Raton offers a unique living experience. However, living in this particular place may have its own pros and cons, as seen in the following user reviews.

Excerpts from User Reviews:

1. "Boca Raton is a great place to live if you're looking for a laid-back lifestyle with plenty of outdoor activities. The weather is amazing year-round and there's always something to do, whether it's going to the beach or exploring the nearby nature reserves. However, the cost of living can be high and traffic can be a nightmare during rush hour." - Sarah P.

2. "I've been living in Boca Raton for over a decade and I have to say, it's a lovely place to call home. The community is very welcoming and there are plenty of family-friendly activities to enjoy. The only downside is the lack of public transportation, so owning a car is a must." - Mark R.

3. "I moved to Boca Raton for work and I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical at first. But I quickly fell in love with the city's charm and friendly atmosphere. The schools are top-notch and the shopping options are endless. The only thing that bothers me is the high property taxes." - Jennifer M.

4. "Boca Raton is a beautiful place to live, but it's definitely not cheap. The housing prices are through the roof and the cost of living is high in general. However, the job market is strong and the quality of life is unbeatable. I don't regret my decision to move here." - Michael S.

No other Place like it in Florida - 5/7/2008
There is no other place like Boca Raton in Florida. It's a very clean and beautifully landscaped city. " The city of trees", has parks, recreation shopping( Mizner Park and Town Center Mall ..the two largest shopping areas)and the best in entertainment and dining.
I would say it's a city that has something to offer everyone. It has more of a mix in age range than say Sarasota, Fl. I've lived there too but Boca has more sophistication and a city feel. But it can be costly to live here. Most of the city workers live somewhere else and commute. Read More

Sophisticated resort town - 7/25/2007
Boca Raton is a paradise for those who want to be on vacation 365 days a year. The beaches are uncrowded and pristine with white sands and turqoise waters to rival any Caribbean destination. Communities are kept beautiful in spite of the recent high costs of hurricane cleanup. Everything one needs in Boca Raton is within easy reach. Every time a new community is built a shopping center is built with the name of that community. This makes commuting times and costs for shopping very low in these days of high gas prices. Although Boca Raton lacks a real public transportation system, many people live within a short drive or walking distance of Town Center mall and Boca Center which are some of the greatest malls anywhere with the an incredible number of upscale, architectually impressive stores. Night life in Boca Raton is safe and community centered. There are outdoor cafes, night clubs and an amphitheatre in Mizner Park. Outdoor shows in Mizner Park and Royal Palm Plaza provide an Read More
