What BestPlaces Users Say about Tamarac

Tamarac, Florida is a city located in Broward County, with a population of over 66,000 residents. It is known for its diverse community, affordable housing options, and proximity to major cities like Fort Lauderdale and Miami. With its warm climate and abundance of outdoor activities, it has become a popular place for families and retirees to call home. However, like any city, Tamarac has its pros and cons. In order to gain a better understanding of what it's like to live in this particular place, I have summarized various user reviews from BestPlaces.net.

According to user "Mary G," who has lived in Tamarac for over 10 years, the city has a "great sense of community" and is "very family-friendly." She also mentions the numerous parks and recreational areas that make it a great place for children to grow up in. However, she does warn that the traffic can get heavy, especially during rush hour, and the public transportation options are limited.

Another user, "Mark D," shares a different perspective, stating that Tamarac has a "high crime rate" and he does not feel safe living there. He also mentions the high cost of living and the lack of job opportunities as major drawbacks. However, user "Samantha R" disagrees, saying that she has never experienced any safety issues and has found the cost of living to be reasonable compared to other areas in Florida.

One recurring complaint from users is the lack of diversity in the city. User "Alex S" states that there is a "lack of cultural diversity" in Tamarac and that it can feel isolating for people of different backgrounds. However, user "Tanya B" counters this by saying that she appreciates the diversity in her neighborhood and has never felt out of place.

Overall, it seems that Tamarac has its strengths and weaknesses, and it ultimately depends on personal preferences and experiences. While some may find it to be a welcoming and family-oriented community, others may struggle with the high cost of living and safety concerns. It is important to do thorough research and visit the area before deciding if Tamarac is the right place to call home.

The best time of the year in South Florida is between October and February. Usually it's not too hot, not too cold. Daytime temps average in the mid 70's to 80's. Sweltering in the summer though. Average temps during the day are into the 90's. If you like it hot, this is the right place. Keep in mind, we are in the tropics, so it rains almost everyday during the hurricane season. Usually in the morning and then again in the afternoon. You can almost set your watch by Read More
