Although Ottawa is a very nice place to live, living here is becoming rediculous...as taxes go. I bought a house less then four years ago and my taxed went from approaximately $1300.00 to $4020.00. I moved to Ottawa 6 months ago, I like it. Sure Ottawa is not full of culture and recreational things to do, but who moves to Ottawa for that????? Its geographical location to Chicago is what sold me. Moving from Orland Park I have found the relaxed, laid back lifestyle of Ottawa comforting. Working in Joliet I have a traffic free commute of 35 minutes. On the weekends I can be downtown Chicago in an hour.
