I logged on to see if GP would be a great place for a business and saw Kyle talking about Pleasantville...Here's my response. I just logged on to find a place close to work as I am a transplant from out-of-state. I want to believe that anyone-- black or white-- want to protect their property investments and families from damage and danger. It would be better in my opinion if there was not a brick wall between Detroit and Grosse Pointe. However, until vandalism, breaking and entering, and other crimes cease to exist, there will be a wall between Detroit and Grosse Pointe. Besides, I lived in a gated community in Detroit with African American professionals, doctors, and lawyers and they couldn't even handle the amount of car break-ins on the lot...not to mention the violence and robberies that take place at Wayne State University. Think of the movie pleasantville, nice and perfect white conservative communities that are stuck in the 1950's physically and mentally. Now think how its possible; 18-20% property tax, majority of the population are elderly and blue-collar ignorant. Aggressive, Fascist, Rascist police department, Literally, Brick walls in the middle of every major neighborhood street on the border of Detroit to keep out all of the African-Americans, honestly not a bad idea because of the riots from the 60's and to keep out the ghetto, afro centric, backwards culture that would have the African-American forefathers rolling in their graves.
