Don't Mess With Texas

Everyone who lives in Texas knows how confusing the weather can be. Is it gonna rain tomorrow? snow this winter or storm this tornado season? Who knows? Even the weather teams have trouble deciphering the weather around here. Don't be too suprised when you see people wearing shorts and flip-flops on Christmas Eve or donning raincoats and sweaters on the 4th of July. Once you get used to it, it's not that bad. When the weather is good, it's great and can last for months but you're never sure when the pleasantness will end or for how long. Also we can have bad storms and tornadoes. Every year we have a tornado season. Whether or not a tornado actually occurs is a different story. Sometimes many occur in one year but Arlington hasn't been touched by one in the 20 years I've lived here. It is a possibility but more often than not; we just get hail, lighting, thunder, tons of rain, strong winds and tornado warnings during the season(it's usually around March/April-June). Also, for those who don't know; you can tell when a tornado is coming later that day because the sky is pink, it gets really windy, then still and the sky looks like rain is coming but rain doesn't come(until later of course when the tornado is closer).
