Cold winters, but they beat the summers if asthma

Before I moved to Portage in 2007, I didn't have any real breathing problems. I had a minor case of hay fever. I moved here and I am stuck inside most of the summer because of the humidity! I thought my mother was joking when she said that it was sometimes drier in a bath.
For all of the misery during the summer, I wouldn't trade the night skies for anything! I came from a big city where if you were lucky you saw Orion's belt. The skies here, whether summer, spring, winter, or autumn are gorgeous. The trees aren't bad either, just beware the mosquitoes and the ticks. Either of the bugs will try and carry off your pets and small kids!
