Don’t let the small town feel fool ya... Poverty level is 20.4%, that is higher than the national average of 13.4. Cost of electricity is highest in the state per kilowatt/ hour. Property crimes is 105% higher than the Kentucky average and 85% higher than the national average. Violent crimes is 32% higher than the Kentucky average. Lived here all my life and considering moving. Sad!

I've lived in Owensboro KY all my life too. Although I find it to be a fairly nice town with the exception of no shopping I have been considering a move to another area just for variety. Barbara where are you considering?
