Review of St. Petersburg, Florida

Trailer trash heaven
Star Rating - 6/24/2009
When I first moved to Florida my intention was to live in St. Pete or Clearwater. I was really disappointed. First off, the median home price in St. Pete is so low because most of the homes are trailers or dbl-wides. I don't have anything against them, but it seems that the whole peninsula is covered with them from bay to gulf. Besides a few of the beaches and the view coming across the bridge from Tampa, there is not one attractive or beautiful area in the entire city. It's one gigantic mess covered with dilapidated buildings, industrial areas, warehouses, pawn shops, tattoo parlors, Indian run hotels, and porn shops.. There also aren't any good jobs there even if you have a college education or experience. Nearly every one there is a hick from Indiana or Michigan. It must be a geographical oddity in that respect. There is a constant stream, no matter where you go in the city, of hobos and junkies shuffling down the street. I wouldn't consider living here or, if you've never been here, vacationing here.

what??? what limited parts of the city of st pete have you been to??? there are beautiful areas that are extremely expensive for an average joe to live in. you must have spent your time limited to williams park considering the comments you've made about homeless people. granted, st pete has tatoo shops, strip clubs and the like JUST LIKE ANY OTHER CITY JACKSONVILLE INCLUDED, i'm sure!!! and, speaking of jax... you are coming from jax making these comments?? ha ha ha!!! OMG!!! from what i've heard more than once...jax is a HOLE!!! and that's not just my opinion...it's a "commonly" known fact down here...talk about drugs!! jax has ALL KINDS of meth heads roaming around everywhere you look!! and this comes straight from people's mouths who live there! i can't say for sure, because i've never been to jax, but you have in NO WAY seen all parts of the city to honestly sit here and say that the whole peninsula is covered with trailers and dbl wides!! you must have been slumming...next time, ask someone who actually lives here about "the coffee pot" area, or how about belair beach area or west of clearwater/largo road where people like john travolta and others of his "calibur" have properties and homes?? you have a very limited view of saint petersburg, my friend...and, unfortunately, it's not one that's correct.

I dont understand y u hate on st.pete like this? st.pete is the number one vaction spots and will cont to be. all this seems to be is that something bad happend to you while you were here? myself i have lived her for 20 yrs and iam doing great i can come to the beach when ever i want to i can enjoy daily living without being over crowed by others and i can enjoy time spending with my familiy and i can do things with my children without the fear of them getting hurt.I love St.Pete this is my home and i dont have nothing really bad to say about it but the job market but that is every where at this time and day.
