Asher, I'll assume that Oakland could not wait until you left. You depict Oakland in ways that start at hysterical (in both senses of the word) and end up in outright dishonest.
Oakland's crime rate is not "the highest in the nation." That's an outright falsehood. Likewise, your claim that "most areas you can't walk in after dark" is not only grammatically incoherent, but an outright lie: Oakland has sprawling wealthy/affluent neighborhoods––Montclair, Crocker Highlands, Rockridge, Upper Rockridge/Claremont Pines, Upper Oakmore, Oakmore, Trestle Glen, Sequoyah Highlands, Chabot Park Estates, Ridgemont, Claremont Hills, Hiller Highlands, etc.––that are among the safest in all of the Bay Area. Lovely, and safe upper middle-class and middle-class neighborhoods––Leona Heights, Redwood Heights, Lincoln Heights, etc.,––also belie your false statements.
To claim that "Walnut Creek, Fremont," and "Berkeley" are "better, safer, and cleaner," than Oakland's wealthy Montclair or its upper middle-class/middle-class Redwood Heights is false, absurd, and redolent of something akin to bigotry, or worse
