Of all the homes or places of where I lived throughout my lifetime, I especially remember Rancho Cucamunga, CA. But this city's name when I was there was Alta Loma, and Cucamunga was the next city over. I have lived in this city when I was about 5 yrs. old until I was 11. I guess 1967-1973. I lived at 8650 18th St.

Don't remember area code. I went to kindergarten at Arroyo Elementary with all deaf kids. Then I went to Sacred Heart School for grades 1-3. I remember all my teachers names. I remember watching on a TV in school when the first man landed on the moon. Of course I remember the kind of hearing aid I had. Then I went to Carnelian Elementary for 4th and 5th grade. Then while I was in 4th gr. it was discovered that I was deaf in both ears and that is when I started wearing 2 over the ear hearing aids. I remember my teachers name in 4th and 5th grade also. I remember my very first boyfriend in Rancho Cucamunga. And remember his name. We were in 4th grade. I don't have any real bad memories of this city per say. Overall I basically miss it here. But I can do away with the memories of child abuse. There were some good and bad memories from school but what is interesting for me to note that of all the names in the grades that I was in in my life was 4th and 5th grade at Carnelian Elementary. I remember a lot of names. I remember a lot of from this particular stage in my life. In fact I remember to much. Some good and some very bad memories. Fires, earthquakes, and floods. I remember them very well. Also in this time frame I ran away from home twice and did not want to go back home. The police wanted to arrest my stepmother but my dad talked them out of it. I could go on and on about this particular time frame. In a lot of ways this time frame more or less shaped me into who I became as an adult. Lots of stuff happened in my life but as with most people we all have a story to tell. Thank you for allowing me to share about this city in particular. After 5th grade in 1973 we moved to Michigan and we moved around a lot. And yes my dad finally left my 2nd mother in the summer of 1973 in Michigan. And that was the start of a new chapter in my life. As of this writing I am now in Tampa, FL and have been since 1985. But I moved around a lot here. And soon to move again but out of Florida.
