I'm not sure what you mean by "good" considering it is higher than the state and national average. And for violent crime, only 5% of cities in the entire country have a higher crime rate than Binghamton. That doesn't seem "good" to me. The ONLY category of crime that is lower in Binghamton is vehicle theft, because more and more people are moving here with no cars.
