high schools in charlotte area HELP
Star Rating - 2/1/2016
single mom planning on relocating to the CLT area (from NJ) in the fall 2016 son will be in 9th grade. I've been reading about all the problems with the school system and am really worried. He currently has an IEP for a slight Auditory Process Disorder. Am hoping to find a small/mid school with an International Affairs/Global Studies program (like Independence High School has-but too big of a school) as well as one that supports students with an IEP. If anyone has any suggestions, web sights or resorces, PLEASE share with me. Thank you

Send your kid to South Meck... very diverse and they allow the students to mature and become independent young adults. South Meck offer every kind of sport imaginable ( they even have a Ruby Club) ... all kinds classes... my son took 2 years of Japanese. This school is in the top 3 best public schools in Charlotte and is school of Hornor. There are better rated but it is not diverse and if want kid to be subjected bullying because he is not rich, popular or do not do drugs steer clear of Ardrey Kell ... plus school ran like a prison...looks like person they cuddle the students. Providence is a good school period... but very bougie. South Meck is Well balanced... teachers make learning exciting and there is no leash on your child... it is old school /traditional and my son loves it.

Send your kid to South Meck... very diverse and they allow the students to mature and become independent young adults. South Meck offer every kind of sport imaginable ( they even have a Ruby Club) ... all kinds classes... My son took 2 years of Japanese. This school is in the top 4 best public schools in Charlotte and is a school of Honors. There are better rated high schools but they are nowhere near as diverse as South Meck. However, if you want your kid to be subjected bullying because he is not rich, popular or is NOT into drugs, steer clear of Ardrey Kell ... plus Ardrey Kell is ran like a prison...looks like prison and they cuddle the students. Providence is a good school period but very bougie (not saying that's a bad thing but if you don't have the cash you are over looked). South Meck on there hand is well balanced all classes, color and creed of people and best of all the teachers make learning exciting and school is well supported by parents and alumni... AND there is no leash on your child. South Meck is old school /traditional and my son loved it.
