If you love warm weather with a breeze (May thru October average 87 to 90 degrees) and balmy weather with a breeze (Nov thru April average 76 to 83 degrees) then South Florida may be the place for you! I think the winter weather is perfect and I can hardly wait for late November.
If however you like seasonal changes, sorry, it hardly ever gets cold here.
Cost of insurance is pretty high, so is property tax, but there is no state income tax. The average price of a single family home has gone too high for most people, although if you look north of West Palm Beach, the prices are lower.
