Ripe Off for Kingston Consolidated Residence
Star Rating - 11/10/2009
The statistics for Ulster County compared to the rest of the country is very interesting when considering the Kingston Consolidated School Board just voted for a 3.5% increase in salaries for administration and staff. Does that board live in a fantacy world? Ulster County spends over ten thousand per student while the national average is over six thousand, a difference of four thousand dollars per student. Unemployment is over 8% for Ulster County and this board seems to think people can continue to support increases which, not only means an increase in salary but vacation pay, holiday pay, retirement, social security contribution expense, etc. I'm sure we could find thousands that would be willing to take those positions for two thirds the pay and be as qualified if not more. When will the outsourcing for these jobs take place?
