Review of Greenville, South Carolina

Has been a good place to live
Star Rating - 1/27/2013
Have lived in this area for over 50 years. It has been a very good place to live overall. Like most any area, as the population grows, jobs come and go etc, things change. This is one of the fast growing areas in the country and so it is losing its small town feel and personality. It is home to the likes of BMW, Michelin and General Electric along with all of their support companies. If you are looking for a growing place to live, where the cost of living is below national averages, this might be your spot.
The climate is mild overall, the schools are good and we have the mountains within an hours drive and the ocean within a 5 hour drive.

Hi Charlie, My family and I are moving to South Carolina this summer. We are leaning towards the Greenville area. Are there any areas that you know of that we should avoid? We have two young daughters. We are super excited to be moving back to the south. We are coming from North Dakota, but are originally from Florida. Thank you in advance, Luci
