Review of Raleigh, North Carolina

We are planning a move to NC (research triangle park area) from Austin Texas in the next 2 months or so. We are a professional hispanic family with 2 girls in middle school. Our concern is we have read several comments on different web forums about hispanics not being welcomed into the community. Are our fears unfounded?
Also, we do not have year round schools here in Austin. We are in a great school district here and are looking for the same in NC.
WE WELCOME ANY COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS AND WOULD NOT BE OFFENDED IF SOMEONE TELLS US TO STAY HOME!!!

I don't think there's a problem with Hispanics as you say, but the illegal Mexican problem has gotten a lot of people very angry. Our schools are overcrowded and they are contributing to that as well as the gang violence in the highschools. I'm from NY so I know the difference, southerners are not very bright when it comes to classifying nationalaties. The majority of them don't know their own. They call themselves Southern and thats it. I don't think you should have a problem as long as your legal, speak the language, and be prepared to do the work of 3 people; just the way southerners like it.
