I don't understand the Tesla comment. Do you think everybody has a job at a gas station?
I have lived here for 33 years, and I don't agree with some of what you say. If you have been making minimum wage for 17 years, then that is your problem. Learn a trade or go back to school. I think the problem is you, not Vancouver. I do agree rent is high here, but its high everywhere. And yes, it rains a lot during the winter. How do you think it got so green here. If you don't like the rain, then I suggest live on the East side of the Cascades.
But I will agree about the traffic. Portland and Vancouver has doubled the population since I moved here, and they have not added any more highways, or widen the highways. They are stuck on Mass Transit trains and bicycles. I blame that on the lame Democrats that run the place. Vancouver not so bad, but across the river into Portland, they hate cars.
You also left out that this is one of the prettiest places you can live. 1 hour drive East and you can snow ski Mt.Hood. 1-1/2 to 2 hour drive to the West, and you have the beautiful Oregon Coast. Lots of good fishing, hunting, wind-surfing, hiking, etc.. Except it is starting to get a bit crowded.
