it's time to leave the corruption behind -
4/7/2021The city is corrupt, department heads taking bribes, 2 yr community college almost destroyed because the faculty are making it into a 4 yr college. Mormon corruption they don't collect business licensing fees from companies in OR they're involved in that are doing business in WA, autodealers charge the wrong amount of sales tax on Costco auto program, most jobs are part time, homeless seem to be less visible but who knows where they are hiding them now. Really a bedroom community to Portland. Commutes to Portland easily 30 mins to an hour depending on when. Prices high, high sales tax, sanctuary city for Russians and Hispanics.

is it true there's a big snake problem in Reno? -
7/5/2020Interesting place I love the mid-desert some of my concerns are well the cost of life Housing, food and the like. My other big one is the report of large quantities of rattlesnakes & vipers being found in the city. I wonder if it's not the neighbors to the East that decided to many from SLT were sinning in Reno and not getting their cut of the money. Is the snake population that big and if so have you tried Road Runners (the bird) they love snakes. I watch one bet the hell out a rattler by slapping the snake on the rocks.

12/11/2019Are they Mormon builder like the ones that built my house in Hurricane that couldn't even follow local or national building codes. Washington county Utah needs to be condemned. What's even worse is the local governments knew as did the state. It sounds like the place that one could call home. The odd thing with the Mormons is the church owns and runs over a 1000 liquor stores but the ward house level people are told it's a sin to drink, or gamble, or smoke. The holy undergarments are made of nomex which should not be worn against the skin.

8/6/2018Very hot in the summer and also very sunny. Winters are nice except for the big influx of snow birds and wealthy salt lake and CA people which the majority of Mormons seem to dislike at least the 10 mormon people I knew over an 8 year period

8/6/2018Job growth without wage increases cost of living going thru the roof. I've lived there. Traffic is terrible half the year because of the old snow birds which can't figured which way to turn. Most locals have to have two jobs to just break even. More and more illegals back in the area.

possible corruption -
8/6/2018I wouldn't buy there ever again. I've lived there twice I love the beauty but The Mormons truly control everything. I now wonder if the real-estate agents are even licensed. I had a clear cut case of fraud with a local title company and the state Insurance Fraud Agency closed the case and then took the Escrow agents and buyers affidavit but never contacted me to get mine. When I asked the case worker and Manager of the Insurance Fraud Agency the manager told it was up to the case worker.
