re: EASILY THE WORST CITY IN AMERICA - 1/23/2010 According to the City and County data book (the most recent US CENSUS 2007) 61.2% of the population in San Antonio are Hispanic... Yes a majority. I blame most of the issues you guys are talking about on Education and Poverty level. I've read a study on how the poor have issues getting out of poverty. Look at Detroit and the crime vs. poverty/education/teenage pregnancy rates. I just read a article about how 1 in 4 births are from a teen mother in some areas of Detroit. This is not race that is the cause... it is Poverty/education level. It would be stupid of me to say Hispanics from San Antonio don't experience racism, but after reading some of these post I can most definitely say they suffer from Classism
