7/5/2021According to this very website, Moscow voted 49% Dem. to 41% Repub. in the last election. Those numbers hardly shout foaming-at-the-mouth liberalism. Methinks you used some hyperbole in order to make a point that wasn't there to be made.

11/21/2020I just wonder why over 60% of the people would "disagree" with the post above. Is it not 70 miles to the nearest major shopping? Are the winters not long and snowy?

12/27/2017I have never understood downgrading a town because there are less-fortunate people living there. Walk a mile in their moccasins and you might find a softer heart. As for Florence, it is my second favorite city on the Oregon Coast. I like Seaside just a bit better.

Seriously Weird Vibe -
11/4/2016I'm not sure I set out to find the ugliest town in America. But find it I did. Sinclair, Wyoming. I stopped for gas at the east end of town, and decided to drive through it on my way back to the Interstate. The road back to the freeway was closed, and a cop flashed out from behind a building and tailed me clear back to the east end. The whole town was run-down to the point of bedraggled.
The whole experience gave me a distinct "Deliverance" feel.

7/27/2016Giles, I believe that has to do with the methodology of climate reporting. This site calls a sunny day one that is more sunny than not. The COC calls a sunny day any day in which the sun shines enough to cast a shadow at any time during the day. I think this site is the more accurate representation.

As Summer Comes to a Close -
9/18/2012I'm reminded, as I am every year, that the Puget Sound has the best summer weather in the country. An average of four days a year 90+. Cool, clear evenings that (because of how far north we are) just go on and on and on.
