Sioux Falls, SD

Don't ever move here....ever! - 6/2/2008
Sioux Falls is an awful place. Winters in Sioux Falls are like hell froze over....I didn't even want to get out of bed the WHOLE time. Summers are hot and extremely humid. There is absolutely nothing to do and all anyone ever does is go the bars and get wasted and make fools of themselves. There is not culture or diversity so you get the same person in a different body. If you are a city person, then do not subject yourself to sioux falls. Though it is the biggest city in SD, it is the worst "city" i have ever lived in.

Las Vegas, NV

A confusing city.... - 6/2/2008
Las Vegas offers beautiful views of desert landscape and lots to do 24 hours a day. I have lived in Vegas for five years now and am attending UNLV. UNLV is a great school with some very good professors and also a really nice campus with lots to offer it's students. When I first moved here, I absolutely loved every minute of it. However, in the short five years i have lived here, Las Vegas HAS gone downhill a bit. The nice areas five years ago are now not nice and the original not nice areas are even worse now. People flock to Las Vegas at an alarming rate and traffic has become a nightmare at certain times during the day. The Strip gets old fast as do the clubs and gambling everywhere. I get tired of seeing fake looking, slutty women everywhere and men that treat women as objects because that's what the women here make them think is ok. I miss the Las Vegas I moved to.

re: Your opinions on Seattle are Requested - 1/10/

Seattle is a wonderful city full of fun things to do and new things to experience. People who complain about it don't get out and do all the amazing things seattle has to offer. The rain is easy to get used to and summers in Seattle are absolutely gorgeous. My brother is moving to downtown Seattle from Kirkland and he has found some very nice, very affordable places. My brother is not "rich". If you take some time to look, you will find a great place that you can afford....I did, and I just graduated from college with no money! The traffic is no worse than any other city. I've lived in Las Vegas, Vancouver, L.A., and Atlanta and the traffic in Seattle is actually MUCH less than these other cities. It can be hard to find parking downtown but it can definitely be done if you know where you're going, and it's never hard to find a place within walking distance of where you want to be.

Seattle, WA

My Favorite City - 6/1/2008
Seattle is possibly my favorite city in the United States, next to San Francisco. Sure, people say Seattle is too rainy, or too this, or too that, but every city has it's drawbacks and Seattle's con list is much shorter than the pro list. My older brother moved to Seattle to work for Microsoft and had trouble adjusting to the rain (we're from Las Vegas), however, he has lived there for six years now and absolutely loves it. I am planning on moving there in December when I graduate from college but I have spent summers, Christmases, And many other times in Seattle. The city it absolutely gorgeous and the rain is easy to get used to. Trust me when I say that it's much better than being caught in huge snowstorms or in the 120 degree Vegas heat. Plus, summers in Seattle are absolutely gorgeous, like nothing I've ever seen. The city is green and in bloom all the time, and well taken care of. The views on a clear day are outstanding and the area offers so much to do. My friends and family and I enjoy amazing hiking and rock climbing. My brother and I kayak in the summer and ski in the winter. We take trips to Portland and to Vancouver, to Whistler Blackcomb and to Bainbridge Island. We go wine tasting and hit some of the great restaraunts downtown. We enjoy the many pubs and plays that Seattle offers as well as some lesser known stuff like the Improv downtown. The cost of living can Be a little steep in areas, but if you simply look around, you can definitely find a nice, affordable place. I have never met anyone in Seattle that has been unfriendly or "impossible to get to know". In fact, I have more friends in Seattle than I do here in Vegas, and I don't even live there yet! All in all, I've been to a million different cities and Seattle will always have a special place in my heart as one of the greatest.
