re: Great Place to Live! - 5/30/2011 -
1/12/2013Hello, my husband is military too and we are moving to Biloxi. I was wondering if you could give me any advice on where to live and places to avoid. We have two little ones so a family oriented place with parks and playgrounds nearby would be great. We would like to keep comutting short if possible. Thanks ahead of time :)

1/12/2013I've been living in Surprise for 2 years now and I like it, not love it. There are many pluses to living here such as the cost of living, it's very cheap (groceries, gas, colleges, houses). It's always sunny which I also use it as a downfall. My first summer here we reached a record high temperature of 125 degrees. That was awful. Last summer it was 117 degrees, which in comparison, was much better. I miss the rain. It rarely rains here but I guess it's what you get in the desert, arid climate. There's a cute little park near by with a pond that my daughter loves to go to. I consider this area safe and family oriented. If moving to this area of the West Valley, consider Marley Park or Rancho Gabriela.
