2/22/2010Move here only if you have a job waiting, or are retired with a Good income stream. I you move here expect a low paying job (if you can find one).
Starting in 2010 the local police have gone nuts. Expect a ticket for the smallest of violations, or just expect to be stopped with little justification. The revenue generating machine is in overdrive. Remember, no matter what your plea in court, the Officers here will (as I have noted personally) be right.
The weather is good, but expect lots of mosqitos, Fishing is some of the best in the world, but very regulated. So know all your regs..
At this time Rockport (I think) is one of the better places to live in the US, but expect taxes and living costs to go up. Bang for your buck probably will not.
