5/25/2014Sounds like yet another story of the black people moving into an area and sending it to hell while the white people freak out and leave asap...i.e., "white flight". This happens all over the damn place. Once they gentrify years in the future(it's all a cycle), the blacks will leave again and the city will be back to normal.

5/6/2014Sounds to me like this reviewer just gave a lot of supporting evidence to why NYC is horrible to live in (abusive relatives, no one to help her, rude immigrants who self-segregate, gentrification, sharp social class division etc...all very common here).
