How do you like it? -

Folsom, CA
Nice place to live.... -
10/3/2006I lived in Folsom for about a year probably one of the best places I have lived, I also lived in towns close by for about 5 years.
Folsom is great, it has some wonderful homes, nice shopping centers and is close to everything. You can drive to Lake Tahoe in about an hour or go shopping in some great malls within 30 minutes, or go to a concert in Sacramento in about 40 minutes. It has a very cute and active downtown and always has something going on.
The only downside is the traffic and it gets HOT in the summer but other than that no complaints.

Moved from out of state with high expectations -
9/28/2006Hi moved here from California and really had high hopes. When you visit you go towntown and see the cute town and beautiful lake but when you live here you can only go there so often. The shopping is practically non-existent.
I think if you vacation here it's great but I don't think it's the best place to live at least not for me.

Ever been to Stockton, CA -
9/28/2006I just moved to Northern ID about 3 months ago and Spokane is the nearest city, unfortunatly it is no city I want to go to.If you have ever been to Stockton CA it looks very similar and probably has similar crim stats.
I would not feel comfortable/safe going to a concert but knowing they don't have too many I guess I won't be tempted.Lets put it this way the locals here call it Spocompton, lol
Fort Collins, CO
Is this a typical party town? -
9/28/2006Is FC nothing but a college town? I am looking to relocate but am a little hesitant when I hear so much about it being a "college town" sometimes that has its downfalls.
Roseville, CA
Pretty good place to live -
8/7/2006I lived in Roseville for 3 years and now that I have moved away appreciate it much more. There is great shopping, too many great restaurants to mention and a low crime rate I felt very safe there.
Even though it's close to Sacramento I only needed to go there for the airport or concert other than that Roseville has everything you need. The cost of living is quite high but you get convenience with that price.
The summers are horribly hot, so if you like the heat it's the place for you. It's pretty crowded it's had a lot of growth in the past years, but they did prepare with larger roads so it's not that bad.
The surrounding area is nice as well....Rocklin,Auburn,Granite Bay,Lincoln, and Folsom were some of my favorites.
Lots of jobs and good paying ones at that.
Overall I would rate it an 8 out of 10.
