Norfolk, VA | 4 Review(s)

Master's degree Civil Engineering 1972, single father(one child under 18 still at home with me) four children. Live in Norfolk VA 50 yards from the beach (Chesapeake Bay) which I never use. I am not fond of this area for many reasons, racist attitudes, (for which the British are legendary [first usurpers of the native american in this country] and they are in evidence here) and awful schools notwithstanding. I think about moving to Portland (AARP [I am a member for over 2 years now] reported that it was 'aces') in the near future and I don't think I will have a problem.

Money, money, money...? What is the matter with you, if your income is too low for the area, why did you locate there? I'll tell you why, typical white american view that things should always work out to their advantage without any effort! Get a SECOND job you moron.

Not as crappy as say, London. - 6/27/2008
This is for anonymous, Portland another crappy city? Foreigners!? I get the impression that you are from the UK, isn't that a foreign country? I've been to Portland and I found it charming, cost of living, the same as any other city with easy access to the ocean and mountain ranges as well. Get a grip Brit, you obviously have crap for brains.
