My husband and I moved here 4 years ago and it has been the most horrible 4 years of my life. There is nothing to do here, the school systems are horrible and the community envolvement is little to be desired. We came here with the intentions of leaving after two years but the jobs here do not pay enough for you to even begin to get ahead. Needless to say we are in the process of moving out of the state and have no plans on EVER coming back.

The Danville area has had its fair share of ups and downs. Recently it has mostly been down. The area has lost many jobs that had a decent wage. Many people now struggle to find a job that pays more than $8-9 an hour.
