6/23/2009Does anyone know why Tucson has a larger economy & is so much cheaper than Flag. to live in when it is hotter and has water problems?

6/23/2009Does anyone know why Flagstaff has never grown to nearly the size of Tucson, when it's not as hot and a very disirable place to live? I would like to move their but unless it grows their aren't enough jobs.

5/23/2009Would you say it is becoming a more fast paste city or that the culture is laid-back enough to keep it from becoming like L.A., Chicago, etc...?

5/22/2009I live in the huge conglomerate of metro-Detroit and have been seeking to get out ot the "rat race". After seeing San Antonio at the top of a couple of different lists as best places to live I've been reading all your comments. At first under Hospitality "Friendly Folks" was uncannily exactly what I wanted and was happy to hear about your city until I read "Don't believe the hype" and Real life in S.A" leaving me let down because they all gave evidence, all I want to know is if someone can tell me if positives outway the negatives for a newcomer?

5/22/2009I grew up the a w.a.s.p.y, yuppie and old money suburb of Detroit called Grosse Pointe which every "big" city has at least one of. Yet I've come to find over time that G.P. for some reason is well known by many people across the country- which is odd because like I said every city has one of these type of suburbs. Anyway I now live in a city that's "between" there and Detroit. It seems to consist of the African-American people trying to get out of Detroit and the "white" people who can't quite afford to live in G.P. Anyway I've been trying to get out of "Detroit" my whole life and will never stop trying thanks to all the commnets about how much more some places really have to offer. Like a differnet aproach to life then just being in a "rat race", (being compettitive about every little superficial thing), as well as cultural diversity, openness to change, and accepting other people for who they are as a person and just by what their status in society is, well I'm sure some people will find this interesting,goodbye.
