Very Beautiful town to live. -
2/24/2007My dad lives in Carrollton, and this town is amazing. You will not find a wal mart here. In my opnion, that is a good thing, it keeps the small town feel alive. The town square is amazing, it just makes you feel right at home. Excellent community. Very clean.
Steubenville, OH

2/24/2007First of all, I would like to say that negative things that "the other posters" say do not help the community in any means, so why would you sit there and cry about it... Your not helping anything by acting so negative. So heres the deal. I actually go to Steubenville High School...... and to say that there are 30-40 kids in each class is a joke. That is so funny to me. I would say that the class average is about 15 kids. In my first period art class there are about 12 kids, ACT/SAT Preperation class there are about 9 kids, Algebra 2 there are about 18 kids, British Literature there are about 15 kids, Introduction to Technology there are about 10 kids, My fitness class has about 12 kids, and my statistics class has 6 kids. So whoever says that there are.... THIRTY-FORTY kids per class..... sorry but thats a lie, they are obviously angry at the school for some other reason. You will only find small, very efficient classes at Steubenville High School. If you want to find out more about SHS, google it. SHS has top notch athletic programs. The Steubenville High School football team has won the past two Division 3 Ohio State Championships. This school has an EXCELLENT pool facility (8 lanes) probably one of the nicest you'll ever find in Ohio. I would know because I swim for the swim team, we're actually very good too. Steubenville High School has a new addition, which consists of the new swimming pool, Commons area (lunch room), and the new gym, which also consists of a state of the art track, running above the gym. There is also a very nice fitness area. The only nearby school that has anyting close to what SHS has to offer would be Brooke High School in Follansbee, WV. SHS is known for its top notch accelerated COLLEGE programs.... I'm sure that my principle did not tell anyone to work in the mill, he is a very sarcastic guy, somebody obviously took it the wrong way. The teachers here are very easy to get along with. Most of the teachers are male teachers. Very disciplinary, thats a good thing if you ask me. Steubenville is also home of one of the nicest high school football stadiums in Ohio, Harding Stadium. SHS football team is currently ranked 34th in the nation for most wins. The pride in our school systems here are great, Steubenville has never turned down a levy on the ballot, atleast within the past 20 years. Steubenville High School has about 650 kids enrolled. To say that there are 30-40 kids in each class would mean that there are only 18 teachers.
