12/7/2011GREAT review! I was going to move there. I've been trynig to move there for more than three (3) yrs. Everytime I read the REVIEWS I become discouraged. There is not any perfect place. The BEST place I've ever resided is San Antonio, TX. I wanted to try a new place that was well-balanced. Clearly Omaha, NE is NOT that place. Unfortunate! Your REVIEW is very good though.

12/6/2011Wow Clifford, this is pretty intense what you have shared! Omaha is a RACIST as the South! Wow! I was hoping it is or would be significantly better than the South. That's horrible! What do you suggest I do? What City would you recommend for someone who is Black and Gay and looking for a safe, easy, fun place? NOT Atlanta, GA; it is too ghetto, thuggish, and primitive!

12/6/2011Amen! Your REVIEW is the BEST! I believe your REVIEW. There is not anywhere that is perfect! It is what one makes of it. After reading your posting, I conclude that Atlanta, GA is NOT worth the stay. I wanna come and try Omaha. Too much CRIME in Atlanta, GA! Omaha is 20% cheaper than Atlanta based on Sperling's Best Places. It is worth a try. It is either Omaha, NE or Oklahoma City, OK! I've had enough of the South for now. Thanks for your balanced REVIEW!

10/31/2010I've been residing in Atlanta, GA now exactly one year this time. The 1st time was back in November of 1997. Not much difference. Still the same aggressive people, predominantly Black males, and a level of IGNORANCE that is INCOMPREHENSIBLE!
Too many poorly educated and uncultivated people in general... however, the worse are among the Black community... specifically the men,,,,,,,,,,,,,, too many of them are ruthlessly being destructive without any regard for anyone or anything. SAD!!!
The Black boys, and men in this town are as I have never experienced in other city; garbage mentality! They are like wild rodents from the streets... it is DESPICABLE! This is why racism existence in this country. When some, not all ... however, a large number of Black boys and men can be this reckless and destructive, it makes for a platform of racism.
Clothes falling off, guns tucked away in baggy clothes, shooting at anyone if they get an impulse to do, too any worthless Black Police Officers who think it is OK to not protect law abiding citizens. It is going to take the Grace of God to shift this city from the downward slope it finds itself in today. I left twelve years ago because I foresaw the ugliness on the rise. It is genuinely very, very, very sad!
There was a report done recently of the worse zip codes for crime in the US. Atlanta occupied 33.5% of the positions. What does that tell you? More than 1/3 of the crime is committed here; ATROCIOUS!!! As I underlined earlier... 99% is committed by Black men. What does that tell you?
It has to change or this city will lose all its investment money and business will REFUSE to do any business in this city!

4/5/2008OK... what about when one comes from Miami, FL and wishes to reside there from May - November? What does one do? Is there anything to do? I don't work for less than U$10.00/hr. Also you don't have a technology market there... do you? I don't think so. What is the draw for a young single person to come to North Dakota??? Thank you.

3/30/2008NO kidding. Unfortunately, I went to Dallas, TX in June and resided there until September... it was not anything short of AWFUL! What a ghetto place. Uhk! NO jobs, too expensive, rentals ridiculously priced, INFLEXIBLE, the WORSE public transportation system ... ever! In many ways, I believe Dallas, has regressed. Something has gone very wrong in this town... honestly. I remember Dallas back in 1995 right after college... and it was more vibrant...now... it is in a deep sleep... BORING and NOT anything going on... NOT anything! HORRIBLE!

I was planning on relocating to Charlotte, NC for a few months beginning May 2008. Uhmmm! You've place another spin on the entire landscape. America is one if not the most RACIST countries in the world. Feel me honie? I've been almost all around the world and the racism in this country is still lethal; PATHETIC! Where can one go as a miniority and live among people who are ethnically colorblind in this country??? Where darlin? I was born in San Francisco, CA and it is now racist too because the Chinese have taken over and the white gay community in San Francisco is extremely RACIST too! So where does one go... Amsterdam? That's ok! :)! Thanks for your feedback. As I only have to be there for four (4) months... it should be ok. Where are you now... still in Charlotte???
