9/25/2019This is obviously a post by someone who has lived here a long time and knows the scoop. I know the new folks want to get people to move here so they can cover the price they overpayed in East Hill before they get up and leave, but listen to this post. The person pretty much nailed it. I have been here on and off for over 40-years. Yep, pretty much on the head.

9/25/2019I lived in Cullman for over 13 years when my family brought two plants there. It was tough, at first, because I wasn't a native and it is a very cliquish type of town. I don't mean this in a negative way. Most everyone there knows everyone and everyone is related to someone so they are just curious why you are there at first. However, once you have lived there a while and joined the community, they are some of the most loyal friends and family you could hope to have. Old time values and family are big there. It is a wonderful place to raise kids in that sense. There is some of the most beautiful country I have seen in this county. You have bluffs, small mountains and countryside for days. 9/25/2019You summed it up. All of the westerners and New Floridians have turned it blue and the crime and taxes have followed the trend of what happens when a city goes that direction. Time to flee.

9/25/2019Asheville used to be a great place until the mass exodus of Floridians and Californians came to town. Now it is overpriced (feeling the same pain Washington State felt when Californians came calling) and it is hard to find sustainable work. I do love to visit because of the scenic beauty, but the South it used to be has changed because of the liberal demographic and also the crime has greatly climbed because of the same naivety taking over government. They love our milk and honey, but they want to complain and change everything. Guest that have overstayed their welcome and the true natives and locals can feel it.
