Small town but within a few hours drive of most wanted cultural and recreational events. Limited air transport-only to Atlanta to connect but 2 hour drive to Jacksonville Fl or Tallahassee Fl airports. Low housing cost, low property tax. Reasonable health care availability but cost a little high. Overall, if want smaller town traffic, culture, and cost but want reasonable access to larger city resources then Valdosta is an excellent place to live.
