9/18/2013Ths town is shabby at best and the young families are atrociously mean to other people's children. Their children parrot every hurtful and mean conversation they hear when their parents are bad-mouthing small children in their kid' classes at elementary school!! And these are the TEACHERS at the Seymour High School and St Ambrose elementary school. This place is socially pathetic and regressed. Very juvenile culture among the adults. Parents swing and divorce and remarry their children's classmates parents! Amazing too because I've never run across so many self-proclaimed christians in my life! The only thing biblical here is the divorce rate and the under-current of pure evil that fulminates in this place and the blind eye everyone including the hypocritical church leaders choose to turn in its direction.

9/13/2013I have lived here for ten years and agree that Seymour, Indiana is a sophomoric community where outsiders are not welcome and the parents are worse bullies than the children. I have joined churches and coached kid teams and donated time and money and it matters not. The people at Immanuel church are especially ugly even when you are volunteering. The children are a reflection of the parents. Even teachers are cruel if you aren't from here. The church people turn a ridiculously blind eye to egregiously bullying at school and Sunday school in the name of the almighty dollar. The pedophiles and other sex offenders are abundant and enjoy suspended sentences compliments of the judges too. I regret coming here and ruining my children's childhoods. We do our best to stay positive and deal with the culture of juvenile adults and bullies we encounter every day in school, sports and Sunday school all the while looking forward to the day we can leave and try to forget how foolish we have felt thinking this would be a nice place to live.
