2/25/2009If "white collar professionals" are what youre looking for then this might be the place for you. That is if you enjoy listening to the loud mufflers of huge pick-up trucks with tires that are entirely too large for them. Or if you enjoy the fact that most places have more brochures and posters in Spanish than in English

2/25/2009I have lived in Hendersonville for about 9 years. While Hendersonville is a very safe place to live it definitely has its downs. There is absolutely nothing to do. Children are definitely not the community's priority, as the school system is pretty much the worst I have ever seen. And boredom has driven 80% of the youth to drugs and alcohol. There is not a lot of cultural diversity. The population consists primarily of illegal Hispanics or cranky hick old people and their offspring. People are friendly but only to their own kind. I am mixed and if I say "Good Morning" to an old white man, I am not likely to get a response or even a friendly grin. There are absolutely no opportunities here for children, which is why I am desperately seeking a new place to move my child. Also, with the increase in police patrol, I can only assume that either our drug or illegal problem is becoming an even larger issue.
