3/21/2008I am in total agreement with you. I have been here four months also and from day one, I had nothing but racist comments made to me. I am not in a fight with the place I live because the people upstairs are very loud and have me and my daughter taking headache medication. They make noise all night, vacuuming at 12 at night, I am looking for another job which isn't easy being in the govt who takes their sweet time. I hate it just as you do. Traffic is the worst I have ever seen and I was born and raised in NYC. ATL is certainly not what it's all cracked up to be. I wish I never came here. Best wishes to you leaving I pray that you get out.

3/13/2008Missing NN with every word you spoke. I left thinking that ATL would be better for me and my daughter, however, it is worse. I am looking to move back. Traffic is getting worse yes, but try getting to work from a rural city in GA to downtown ATL everyday, simply murder. Never gotten to work on time yet. I drove three miles from my home on Oyster Point Road to the Airport for 15 years and aside for the income, and the manager I would have stayed. I did want to purchase a home though, but the prices are out of my league.

3/13/2008I just moved to Douglasville from Newport News, VA and I am not pleased at all with the area. Too congested with traffic, not very friendly people and rude rude drivers who will try to kill you to get to the next corner. I am looking to go back to VA.

3/13/2008I sure wish I had saw this response before accepting my position. You are absolutely right. I hate it here only being in GA for 4 months. I moved from Newport News, VA. Want to go back as bad and congested as I thought it was getting. I was thinking of Charlotte or Raleigh but have saw the other posts and they aren't too promising either. I have not met any friendly people and no they cannot drive. They ride your bumper and it scares me to death. They know nothing about space management and I see accidents every day on I-20. Its sad.
