Miami, FL

Yeah, Miami is in the sunshine state, while Boston, Seattle and London all have reputation for being rainy. But it rains more in Miami than in Seattle, London or Boston. Just that in Miami it all comes down at once, but still kinda funny. I actually like it when it rains, cause then the temperature gets reasonable and the sun goes away. Yeah, rain is good. But Hurricanes suck. Andrew tore our house to pieces. Terrible.

Don't move to Miami, it sucks. I love New Orleans, but I could never live there. Miami the same. I lived there for 29 years and I see the REAL Miami. It's a pile of garbage.

What diversity?? Where are the Thai, Polish, Ethiopian, Japanese, Russian, Greek or Romanian neighborhoods? Sydney, Brussels, London and New York have diversity. I'm not saying that all latins are the same, but Cubans are a hell of a lot more similar to Peruvians that Polish. Jamaicans are more similar to Hatians that to Ukrainians. Columbians are closer to Mexicans than to Mongolians. All Miami has is Latins, Islanders, Blacks, Jews and Whites. That's hardly diverse. I'm so sick of hearing people call Miami the melting pot of America. Obviously haven't been to NYC. What I love about a diverse city is the different eating opportunities that are available. In Miami, you go looking for a Panang Curry (One of my favorite dishes in the world.) and you gotta pay a premium price for it. (I don't even know where I would go to find some Ethiopian Yebeg Tibs or Sega Wett.) I don't know for sure that there is a Little Bangkok in NYC, but I would be willing to be that there is somewhere around Chinatown. And I would be willing to bet that there are a bunch of little thai places selling excellent curry for cheap prices. And New York does have some latin restaurants as well.

Hey John, Those tornadoes weren't even an issue. I didn't know there was tornadoes until my dad told me. I believe the farthest east they got was in NE Nashville suburbs. See, tornadoes need flat land to get going. My roommmate is from Knoxville, and he's never even seen tornadoes there. Funny, my mom and my friend who lives in DC were both worried about me up here. I was laughing saying, what tornadoes, never even knew about them. That is why I like this area; very few, if any, natural disasters.
