I just left San Diego after 10 years of living there. Highly recommend Portland, Oregon, much friendlier people and cheaper cost of living, the only downside is the weather.

I have lived in San Diego for 10 years and was thinking of moving to Atlanta. Not reading too many positive things though. I was looking to move due to the high cost of living in California. I grew up in Scotland and i'm not used to the huge under current of racism. I never really experienced that in San Diego but it seems bad in Atlanta. Anybody got any other suggestions? I was also thinking of Charlotte, NC.
