12/4/2015I also wanted to add, I'm sorry you've had to experience this as a parent. Our children depend on us to help them and defend them and in most cases depending on their age and situation to speak out for them. This is not good that this has happened. I'm so glad your child shared this with you. This demonstrates to your child that you will always be there for them. Also, shows your child to stand up for what is right and speak out when something isn't right. Good job mom! :)

12/4/2015We are considering moving to Texas. still haven't made a final decision as to which town. We are looking for something where my husband's commute will not be too outrageous from Denton,Tx. We have been looking into McKinney, Allen, Plano, and Frisco. So far we have not been too impressed with what we are hearing. We are praying for God's direction and the best possible place to live. We do not have small children living at home. But, we've been advised by a real estate agent to keep in mind that property value in Texas is tied to the success of the Schools in the area in which we are looking to purchase a home.

12/3/2015 We would like your honest opinion.
1. Are people really braggy "Christians" in Plano,TX?
2. Are taxes really as high or close to what you pay for your mortgage?
3. If you're not Caucasian are you treated with disregard?
These are the only questions we have for now. Just asking due to some of the reviews we've read about Plano,TX.

12/3/2015Keith, I know your post was in 2008, I'm curious about your life in Plano the past 7 years. We are considering moving to Plano. Just some of the reviews we've read about people's weird christian braggy type behavior. Have you experienced this there as well?

12/3/2015Mary, I do have some concerns now about moving to Plano. I am a christian, but I have made it a point to be respectful and always be kind to others and never making anyone feel inadequate or less valuable. To hear this is going on in Plano makes me very sad.
