Hot, rednecky, no class -
12/2/2009This place sucks. I came here to get my Master's degree at Texas A&M, and can't wait to finish it so I can high-tail it out of here.
There is nothing to do here, it is way to hot and humid in the summer. I stayed inside for 3 months this summer it was so hot. I was stir crazy! The people here all drive big trucks, they are very conservative and intolerant.
No class, no culture...stay away.
New Braunfels, TX
Good and Bad -
12/2/2009I grew up in New Braunfels, being politically unawares in my youth it was a great place to live. Lots of stuff to do if you like swimming, rivers, lakes and waterparks.
It is REALLY hot and humid in the summer--after all it is Texas.
A lot of VERY conservative people live here. Churchy Republican--if you are in to that sort of stuff then this is the place for you. If not, perhaps you can overlook that and enjoy it for what it is.
Right in between Austin and San Antonio provides a lot of convenience for shopping!
