4/14/2021Crested Butte is literally hell on earth. I can't imagine WHY anybody would want to come here. Do yourself a favor - stay in California and Texas. PLEASE!

4/14/2021 I grew up in Madison, but left many years ago. I have incredibly fond memories of fishing/boating on the lakes, hanging out at the arcades on State Street with my friends (it was the 80's), drinking beer while underage with my parents (an old Wisconsin tradition), eating tacos at Taco Grande, eating WAY too much pizza at Paisans (when it was at University Square) seeing all of the first three Star Wars Movies (IV,V,VI) at the Orpheum...I could go on. Yes, I was young and didn't have many cares. Yes, I'm idealizing the town. But I still have family there and I have been back over the years. Every time I visit, I find it the same amazing, beautiful, culturally interesting and inviting place it always has been. There are more people now, and there are now suburbs where there used to be cornfields, but the overall vibe is still the same. I live in rural Colorado now. I wouldn't leave here for anything - except for a beach house in Hawaii or Mexico (who wouldn't?). But if fate found me back in Madison, I would be as content as I could be in a city. No matter where you go, there you are.

Heaven at a price -
4/14/2021Kula is truly heaven on earth. Ideal weather, laid back community, amazing scenery, great farmers markets, near beaches, grocery stores, shopping malls and other conveniences yet away from the bustle. The only draw-back is the high cost of living.
