| 8/16/2012 | other | best school i love it with all my heart you will also love it with all your heart you will never want to leave |
| 6/26/2012 | parent | Fuller was our school of choice for the 2011-12 year. Happily greeted in the front office by staff (mainly the lovely Lolly), I knew we would send our child there. Over the summer, staffing changes were made to accommodate the merge with another excelling school. Shelia became the Office Manager. She was a great addition with her professional demeanor with the school community. The kindergarten teacher was very dedicated/knowledgeable. She always strived for excellence/high performance standards with consistant delivery of combining kindness and firmness in classroom management/delivery. It would have been beneficial if more parental involvement took place at Fuller. Setting a tone of welcoming parental involvement is crucial. Orchestrating/ broadening the desire to pursue the needs of all (rather than the agenda of a chosen few) would be terrific!!! The first PTA meeting was standing room only. But, throughout the year participation dropped at an alarming rate. Throughout the year, many parents expressed a desire to have better communication lines open at all levels of our school environment. It takes a ton of time and energy , but it would help Fuller immensely ! |
| 6/4/2012 | parent | I have two kids in Fuller one is going into 4th and the other will be starting 1st. THe teachers are great and the entire staff is awesome. The school hit a bump in the road when it merged with Bustos but overall it's awesome! The priniple Mr White is awesome! I'm going to be moving but I will be driving my kids 20 mins to keep them in Fuller. |
| 3/9/2012 | parent | As a first-time mother sending her children off to kindergarten, I can't tell you how pleased I am to have a school like Fuller as our neighborhood school. The principal is incredibly kind and I always see him with a smile on his face. Even more compelling is the fact that he is almost always out in front of the school every morning greeting students as they enter the building, which is unheard of for the head of such a large institution. This, to me, shows that he cares about each and every one of his students. I also believe it is also indicative of the way Fuller operates as a whole. It truly is an amazing place. |
| 2/1/2012 | parent | Fuller is the best school in the world. My daughter attended fuller from first grade through fifth. we had to move and she has not found a school is she happy with. Everyday she woke up to go to school at fuller, she wanted to go to school, now she hates school. The staff is unbelievable, everyone makes you feel so welcomed and the new prinicpal is wonderful. I miss fuller so much i cant even explain it. |
| 7/28/2011 | parent | This will our first year at Fuller. Last year, I was forced to find a new school for my son, a 1st grader. As soon as I met Mr. White, the principal at Bustoz and the new principal for Fuller my searched ended! He has the most calming peacfull energy. I can't say enough good about this man. I would've followed him anywhere! I llook forward to our new school year with Fuller and have the upmost faith that this will be a great year! |
| 7/18/2011 | parent | The past three years at Fuller have been great. Fantastic teachers, great PTA, fun events. Looking forward to 3rd grade. Only a little nervous about the change in principal and size. |
| 2/23/2011 | parent | I drive from out of district to attend Fuller. I am greeted each and every day by a friendly front office staff. They go out of their way to make you feel like your child is special and of the utmost importance to them. The teachers I can not say enough good things about them. My 1st grader is reading at a 3rd grade reading level due to the hard work of her kindergarten and first grade teachers. I am so happy I found Fuller. |
| 7/2/2010 | parent | When you walk into Fuller, you feel welcome. Fuller is a school that includes everyone, it really is a family. Every teacher is GREAT. I hope to be a part of Fuller for a long time. My child is reading at two grade levels above her grade. It is because of the "walk to read program" . I am very happy. |
| 6/29/2010 | teacher | Fuller School is a wonderful place to work. The teachers are fully committed to meeting the individual needs of each and every student. It is an honor to be a part of the Fuller Family. |
| 6/28/2010 | parent | The staff at Fuller is excellent. The teachers are extremely dedicated to providing students the best education. Also, Fuller is a very family-friendly school, with many events throughout the year to foster the sense of community. |
| 6/28/2010 | parent | Fuller Elementary is a small, tight-knit community school with a highly qualified and caring staff. This will be our family's 5th year at Fuller, and we have been very satisfied with the differentiated instruction each of our children has received. The leadership has been focused and consistent. Fuller has been a safe and happy place for our children to learn and grow! |
| 5/25/2010 | parent | This school has a great sense of community. Parents are always welcome to volunteer. The teachers care about the whole child, not just the academic side. |
| 5/25/2010 | parent | The staff and the parent involement are outstanding! My kids love their teachers and they really do care about their children. I feel safe sending my kids there. |
| 4/29/2009 | parent | My oldest has 1 mor eyear here, I travel 23 miles to drop him off and go to work. My youngest has 3 more years. It is worth it knowing that my sons are getting the best education, rolemodels, Love, support in every aspect. The school respects it's parents and keeps them in the loop on everything. My children are excelling in everything subject and I fell it isn't just whats beign done at home but how the teachers treat them and work with them on things... |
| 10/15/2008 | parent | Fuller just was named an EXCELLING school in AZ. I am proud to say my child goes there. Dedicated teachers at every grade level care about students as people, not just their scores. My child loves to go to school and he tells me exciting things about school every day. |
| 5/1/2008 | parent | Mom son is about to finish KG. This has been perfect year. He has learned so much and I have no doubt in my mind about keeping him at this school and sending his younger brother next year to hopefully the same teacher Mrs J. I would recommend Fuller to anyone! |
| 6/19/2006 | parent | Awesome school, dedicated teachers, excited learners, great programs, wonderful community and parent volunteers, and an all around great school. Best in the area |
| 5/6/2006 | parent | I would agree that the principal, Dr. Strefling, is wonderful. My child has had both good and bad teachers at Fuller. The good teachers have been incredibly aweome. And the bad teachers have been really bad. I think there are only a handful of the bad teachers. The school nurse, Nurse Grace, is worth her weight in gold! |
| 4/20/2006 | parent | I've been very impressed with the teachers and the Principal at Fuller. They seem to be very in tune to just what my child needs and they keep the parents informed very well. |
| 1/16/2006 | parent | I have had both a great and very negative experience with Fuller. First I must say that Dr Strefling is wonderful (sorry if I spelled it wrong) she is caring and very fair with the children. My daughters teacher in KG is also wongerful and she loves to go to school everyday. As for my sons teachers now that is another story all I hear is negativity. I even sat outside of the class room to listen to class one day and my sons teacher was not very nice to the children and spoke to them in a way that made me very uncomfortable. We have also experienced his teacher very obviously not likeing my son. She does not even deny it when you tell her this is how it comes across. School is over all good but there are a few really bad teachers! I withdrew my son. |
| 10/25/2005 | parent | There aren't alot of academic programs. There are music, art and computer classes, though. |
| 10/17/2005 | parent | My son first started attending this school midway through his Kindergarten year. His teacher there was absolutely amazing and supportive. He had to repeat and I requested he get this same teacher. with her support and guidence he made it through. He is now currently in first grade and again has an amazing and supportve teacher. The teachers at Fuller really care about thier students and it shows in thier interactions with them. When my son asks me to help him write a note letting his teacher know he loves her and thinks she is the best, I know that this school is the best environment for him. I drive from out of district to keep him there and it is worth the gas I pay. |
| 8/23/2005 | parent | My son is just staring 1st grade and I don't yet have a solid feel for how he will do academically. So far, it's been extremely easy for him and I am concerned he won't be challenged-but it's still early in the year. I am an involved parent and tend to see the same parents being involved. His K teacher, Andrea Miller, was excellent. I would recommend her to anyone. She had a broad range academically last year and worked at each childs level and really paid attention to their progression. I am hoping for that this year. Dr. Strefling is great and hopefully she will instill renewed motivation to the teachers who need to reignate their enthusiasm for teaching. |
| 7/5/2005 | parent | We have had excellent experiences with the other teachers. One of my sons with autism, and Ms. Cam is great. |
| 4/23/2005 | parent | Fuller Elementary is outstanding. Many of the parents travel from Gilbert, Chandler, and Phoenix to place their children there. My son will be attending second grade next school year and my middle son will be attending kindergarten. I could not have chosen a better school to join and be a part of! |
| 9/21/2004 | parent | This is my sons second year at Fuller. The Principal, Dr. Strefling, is great. She really takes your concerns as a parent seriously and addressess them quickly. The teachers and staff are also great. |
| 8/9/2004 | parent | My son loves attending Fuller Elementary. The principal is friendly and the teachers are the best. |
| 6/1/2004 | parent | Fuller is a good solid school in the Tempe Elementary district. It has a good solid core of teachers, and a good principal. However not all the teachers are excellent, there are some that have stagnated and lost there enthusiasm for the job. The fine arts have been excellent but some new teachers have really big shoes to fill. So only time will tell if that can be done. |
| 4/22/2004 | parent | Fuller has some good teachers, unfortunately these teachers are over shadowed by the bad ones. These teachers seem to forget that they have a higher calling of responsibitly to the future adults that they have in their care. On a positive note the new principal is a wonderfull lady who definately has her work cut out for her. |
| 4/22/2004 | parent | I have read the reviews of other parents on this website regarding Fuller. Amber Larson is by far the best teacher at this school, Mrs. Gill 4th grade, Mrs. Luper 3rd grade are also great teachers. The new principal is a great addition to the school hopefully she can make a difference. If I had it to do over again I would choose Rover over Fuller they are only a few blocks from each other. I also believe the last principal had an adverse effect on this schools moral. Don't take my word for it though do a tour of Fuller. |
| 4/13/2004 | parent | So far I have been happy with Fuller and the staff. My daughter who is in Kindergarten has done very well and we love her teacher (Amber Larson). Any questions I have had or concerns have all been answered and taken care of promptly. I would recommend this school. |
| 3/28/2003 | | I have one second grader at Fuller. We are very pleased with Fuller, especially with its new principal I like her perspective and look forward to her effect on the teachers and students. My child's teacher has high expectations of the students, and knows that she has taught them much and that they are smart kids who have absorbed a lot. |
| 3/15/2003 | | Our daughter has received an excellent education at Fuller. All of her teachers have instructed her well and have been super role models. The Fuller environment is so caring, and parents are encouraged in many ways to be a part of the school community. |
