| 11/4/2010 | parent | I love this school...principal is GREAT!!! the teachers are so down to earth and actually care about interaction with the parents. |
| 12/31/2009 | student | to me this is the best school in the district because of its teachers and staff and Mrs.Evarts rocks!! |
| 11/10/2009 | parent | this school is very bad when it comes to the teacher they dont help my child and its not teaching them anything im sorry but the kids here are very dramatic |
| 8/27/2009 | parent | I was very reluctant in sending my kids at the Escondido school district coming from the Mira Mesa area. My first impression with the staff was nothing but outstanding. The office staff manned by Ms 'Lee' was very expedient and with precision, she does her work and receptiveness. The outgoing principal (Mr. Ruggles?(sp) was very accessible, combined with the school counselor. No gang activity nor bullying experienced by my kids. They don't want to go back to Mira Mesa. The school have a very friendly and cool atmosphere, along with the students and the staff alike. Very conducive place to learn and study. Outstanding school. |
| 8/15/2009 | student | I love this school, it was a wonderful experience for me. I can't wait for 7th grade! |
| 4/23/2009 | student | i love this school so much! the students are very nice and pleseant to be around :] |
| 3/8/2009 | parent | Our two kids go to HV and we are very happy with the school. The teachers are very good and Mr. Ruggles is the best principal! It is obvious he is very interested in the kids and he is very visible on the campus. My husband and I really appreciate that. |
| 3/5/2009 | parent | I'm impressed with the principal and the teaching staff really cares. They take care of problems. |
| 11/3/2008 | student | I am currently a 6th grader at HVMS and so far its been great i am really learning a lot and having tons of fun!!! |
| 4/29/2008 | parent | Great school. Great educators. My son is very motivated and enjoys all of his teachers. |
| 10/9/2007 | student | i am going to hvms for my first year and it has been fun so far. they deal with problems ive had from bulys annd it is a great school! |
| 8/30/2007 | parent | Hidden valley is a very family friendly school. They look past test scores and at the needs of students. Hidden valley has an involved principal who take the initative to walk on and off campus with students at the beginning and end of the day. They are very aware of the surrounding high school OG and keep HS kids off their campus. The Teachers are experienced and focused on individuals needs. Somehting most schools have forgotten about. Kudos to the Admin and teaching staff at hidden valley. It has been a delight to have the school enhance our childrens life! |
| 2/5/2007 | parent | It is not a good school because when I went to pick up my child they didn't ask for identification and on the wall they have written that you are supposed to have it ready if you are gonna pick up your child. |
| 11/2/2006 | student | I think this is the best school ever! The teachers take real care of the students. There is no where else better than Hidden Valley Middle School! |
| 9/27/2005 | parent | Hidden Valley is a great school. There were some problems but they got solve. The principal is very well manner and pays a lot of attention to the students and parents. He solves problems with carefullness and he also knows what he is doing. The teachers teach very well. They explain the homework very well.As you can see Hidden Valley is a very good school. |
| 6/22/2005 | parent | This school has had a stgright down nose dive in safety and standards. My children both went there when Ms. Rich was the principal and is was a totally safe school. Now, students are seeking safety at lunch with teachers in classrooms. The teachers are giving up their lunch 'down' time to protect the children. Send your kids anywhere else. The teachers are great, but without a great leader. It is so sad. |
| 6/20/2005 | student | I believe that Hidden Valley is a great school but needs to disipline the students more. The school has been having some racial encourging on fights. Some students have either got home studies or have moved to a different school. |
| 5/16/2004 | parent | Most of my son's teachers are great. He had one at the beginning of 8th grade that totally zoned out the kids. They were lost most of the time. He now has a great group of teachers, and has learned so much this last year. They are all connected to the kids and honestly concerned with the students progress. Any time I request info from a teacher, I get a call from them that same day. I think it is a good school. |
| 5/4/2004 | parent | The new Principal Mr. Ruggles is an outstanding asset to HVMS! My daughter is in the Discovery Village. Her teachers are outstanding! I know that after attending HVMS my daughter will be well prepared for High school and College. |
| 9/21/2003 | parent | The village system and looping 7-8 students give students and teachers close connections. My son was well-prepared for a rigorous honors/AP high school curriculum by a strong team of teachers at HVMS. |
| 4/30/2003 | | Think the teacher did a wonderful job |
