| 5/10/2010 | student | I transfered from China to San Domenico since 10th grade. I've never been to a school that have such an amiable community, you will never feel been left out by the others. The teachers here are all very nice, I've never seen any of them get super mad at anyone, and they really are good teachers. You know what, we also have International relations class, which you usually wouldn't find in normal high school. Another important thing about SD is that, it's a all girl school. If you are a girl, you should definitely come. It's not about isolate you from boys (and it's not It's about make you a more independent, aggressive, graceful young woman. I love it here |
| 5/10/2010 | student | San Domenico is an outstanding school. Not only do they offer incredible classes, but also fantastic opportunites and experiences with classmates. I love SD! |
| 5/10/2010 | student | I go to San Domenico High School. Choosing to go here after 8th grade has been by far the best decision of my life so far. I have made connections with other students, teachers, and faculty that I would never have gotten if I went to any other high school. San Domenico created a warm supportive community for me to grow as both a student and as a woman. I know that this June when I graduate, I will be leaving as a strong, independent woman. |
| 5/10/2010 | student | I will not recommend people who want 'life' to attend SD. SD is a great school for you to go into good colleges. However, honestly, many activities are being said but never fulfilled.... so think about it! |
| 5/10/2010 | student | SD is a great school! Enough info posted about the normal school life. I'm going to talk about one starring feature that you should never miss about this school. What makes SD so special is the Virtuoso Program, which offers young female musicians a great musical and life education. It is a place for your talent to shine! If you are interested, you should definitely check out the VP page on the school website. I am a violinist in the orchestra and I enjoy being in it as much as I did the first day I joined. It is such a rich and joyful experience! The conductor George Thomson is truly a great and inspiring musician and also charismatic as a person. He chooses really good repertoire for this 3-time National Champion Award winning string orchestra. I could never thank this program enough because of such a wonderful experience! |
| 12/6/2005 | student | The teachers at San Domenico are highly involved in the academic pursuits of their students. The class size is generally very small (excepting junior year social justice) and the students are, as a rule, studious, respectful and attentive. People who bridle at the religious affiliation of an educational institution need not worry (though mass and prayer service are held occasionally). Sports and other extra-curricular activities are open to all. The music school is wonderful! |
| 5/23/2005 | parent | The strength of the academic program is early education - very qualified staff. Middle school is fine for motivated academic students. Music programs are well respected. Horseback riding is available. Strong parent groups. The best campus in the county - very secure and scenic. |
