9/28/2012parentGreat little small town private school. Excellent value (tuition has remained reasonable for middle income families; predominately made up of families who want their children to become successful adults and not fall prey to economically depressed public school systems in the area with low percentages of college bound graduates). Quality education. Focus over the last few years has been quality of education, advancement of technology and improvement of facilities. Would recommend this school to anyone. Great balance of sports / education / fine arts.
1/11/2012parentWe are happy with this school overall. This is our first year and we are very excited to see all the new things that the new headmaster has implemented and is planning to implement. The technology has previously fallen behind, but is soon to excel! So far we have no complaints! Good environment and good families. I feel that my children have really been challenged. We are looking forward to the next several years here.
12/11/2009parentMy son is a middle school student at Piedmont. He has a great group of friends and is involved in a number of extracurricular activities. Academically, he is challenged to do his best every day. The teachers work hard at getting the kids ready for the next level - high school and beyond. I am pleased with the students, activities, and academics at Piedmont.
11/6/2009parentWe have been Piedmont parents for several years with several children attending right now. Overall it is a great school with reat teachers and advanced studies for the small children to grow. However, some severe issues cause the school not to move forward as a whole. The 'Board' is made up of parents with a 'Good Ole' Boy' mentality. This keeps the school from progressing forward. Also, the 'Grandparents Club' is a 'Retired Good Ole' Boy' system. Hopefully, with time, the country mentality can retire and the school can move forward.
8/17/2009parentTeacher quality is excellent, Administration leadership is well above average and Piedmont is a school that highly encourages parent involvement. Both my children are Piedmont graduates. I sent them there for the safety, discipline and education emphasis. My son went on to graduate from GA Tech with an electrical engineering degree. We are grateful that we weto re able to give him the edge he needed be successful by sending him to Piedmont.
3/9/2007parentmy son left Piedmont Academy in 2002 went on to Young Harris then on to Georgia Southern to complete his education in his chosen field. He was a baseball player and his coach took him to a level that helped him develop the skills in working with people he uses today. We would do it all over again. Great people, proud to be part of the Piedmont family.
2/14/2007parentPiedmont is structured around the average child, the more advanced students have to fall back and the remedial kids are left behind. The environment is great but it cannot make up for the lack of academic variety needed to fulfill all kids. It is really strong in the sport department, but there again, weak in the arts area. Therefore, if your child excels in areas non sport related, he or she will not be able to receive the structured curriculum that they need as an individual
3/11/2004former studentI am a former student of Piedmont Academy and I am now a parent of 2 children. I attended this school from K-12 and so did my 2 siblings. I feel that because of the high quality of education that Piedmont offers, I was well prepared for college and success! My husband and I are in no way rich, but no matter the cost we will be sending our children to Piedmont Academy. We wouldn't consider any other education.
8/25/2003otherThis is a great school for kids who need to be challenged and want to make something out of their life. Teachers are there to teach, not just to make money and students are able to be in a close-knit environment where they can concentrate on school and education as their main focus.
