| 4/29/2011 | parent | Allgood does not handle children with learning disabilities or other issues at all. They would rather push them through the system than to stop and take care of problem in appropriate grade. Why keep promoting a child after 3rd grade when they never learned the basics there. When they are pushed to the following grade, you have just made sure of their failure. |
| 12/16/2010 | other | I am from Allgood Elementary. Now I am in the only theme school in DeKalb, which is Champion Theme Middle School . The staff at allgood care about students learning, and will provide additional help if asked. |
| 3/23/2010 | parent | I think Allgood is a good school. They have a good amount of parental involvement and the staff is very cordial. I haven't had any problems and this is my daughter's first year there. I guess I'll know how affective their teaching methods are, after receiving my daughter's test scores. |
| 12/24/2008 | parent | This school was very good to my daughter. |
| 11/2/2007 | parent | Allgood Elementary is a excellent school. I'm very impressed with the teachers and prinicipal. I can always count on the principle to assist me when it comes to guiding and discipline my child. She's very approachable. The teachers always keep me well informed of my child's progress. The teachers demand and expect alot out of their pupils. They also give alot as well. |
| 11/1/2007 | parent | The teachers and staff are excellent. That being said the principal leadership is severely lacking, without support for the teachers and inadequate discipline being enforced is sad. Maybe a change at that position would change my views. My hat is off to all teachers at Allgood, I'm sure it's hard to work under those circumstances. |
| 6/28/2007 | teacher | The Allgood faculty and staff is excellent. The assistant principal is awesome. There is a very high turnover rate at the school. Teachers do an excellent job when they feel as if what they are doing is being noticed and appreciated. The principal doesnot seem to appreciate what the teachers do. I would not work or send my kids to Allgood. |
| 1/19/2005 | parent | My son went here 2003-2004 school year and was in the third grade. Reading was top on there list. They had monthly reading contests where the top reader could win things like : pencils, ice cream, small pizza ,etc.Good teachers here ,open to new ideas. Have music and P. E. The have a small school store where the kids can buy school supplies, operated by the PTA .The PTA is very active here .Many parents and kids love this school but you should see for yourself. |
| 6/17/2004 | parent | My son attended Allgood from 1996 through 2003. This School is like a close-knit family where you are made to feel that everyone is interested in your child emotional and scholastic development. It was a wonderful experience. My daughter is 3+ and I hope she will be able to get into the Pre-K lottery next year! |
| 3/24/2004 | parent | My daughter is the Pre-K program at Allgood. I must admit this is a great school. All of the teacher and staff are very pleasant. I am also pleased with my child progress in Reading and Math. This school will make you think twice about admitting your children into the public school system. The PTA is very visible and have a great turnout for meeting and fundraisers. I am proud to be a parent of AllGood Elementary. |
| 8/26/2003 | parent | Allgood is a nice, family friendly neighborhood school. |
