| 12/13/2010 | parent | It is great school, My son loves to go to the school. and I have had nothing but positive experiences with the teachers and staff. |
| 3/18/2009 | parent | Palisades is a good, clean, well kept, and safe school with a very dedicated principal and staff of teachers. It has an active PTO that hosts events, such as Sports Day, Movie Nights, Fun Fair, and Super Sun Dinners for recognizing student achievements in citizenship and academics. I have two children in the school, a boy and girl, and they really like it. One criticism may be that school lacks consistent extra curricular programs, which are usually done by volunteers, such as dance (hula & hip hop), ukulele, choir, art and others. If not for those dedicated volunteers, it would have nothing. There are no permanently funded music or art programs, for example. Despite these limitations, I feel my children are getting a good education and enjoy the school a great deal. The teachers are very caring and supportive. I would recommend the school to anybody. |
| 12/12/2007 | parent | As parents, we could not be happier with the education our daughter receives at Palisades Elementary. Both her kindergarten and first grade teachers are outstanding. The lessons are challenging, yet fun and they learn the importance of doing quality work. The teachers take the time to make each child feel important and special. The most important thing that her teachers encourage in her is the love to learn. My daughter loves to go to school and can't wait to return after every break. The school is small and the staff seems to personally know most (if not all) of the students as well as parents and grandparents. The faculty has been working hard to raise the academic level of the school. The preliminary results from the 2006-2007 Hawaii State Achievement tests place the school tied with 3 other elementary schools at number 11 in the state (out of 184 elementary schools). |
| 5/30/2007 | parent | My Son was a special needs kid. His teacher really brought him out of his shell to where he can compete with normal kids his age. I can never thank her enough. The principal is very dedicated and administers tough love to these kids as needed. Good to know that there are 'bright stars' in the field of educational professionals |
