| 12/7/2006 | staff | This school is working to improve each student's reading ability. Each student is important and the teachers work hard to meet the individual needs of each student. Parents are important partners in the education of their children. Each student has an opportunity to participate in Young Hoosiers Book Club, Dino Club, and chess club for fourth and fifth graders. Those that qualify can be in a reading enrichment program. There is currently ability grouping in the 4th and 5th grade. State standards drive the curriculum, but the student's abilities are taken into consideration. Students are stretched, remediated, and enriched as needed. This is a super school for children. |
