| 7/21/2011 | parent | I love Progress South. I have had 3 children attend through the past 4 years and have never experienced a bad teacher or a bad moment. The children are orderly when you walk through the halls. The teachers have always been very communicative and the principal truly cares. We might be moving and I am very sad to think of leaving Progress South. |
| 11/2/2010 | parent | Excellent principal and counselors who have gotten to know my child. My child has had behavioral issues, and they have all worked so hard with him! We are informed of his academic and social achievements constantly; lots of individual attention given even though it's a big school. Teachers have been great overall; had some minor issues with one. Unsure about gifted/talented programs here; we have not looked into this but GT is not really "featured" either; something to consider. Large, but well-managed school; the kids are nice and bullying is not tolerated. |
| 8/8/2010 | parent | I have 2 kids that have been blessed to be a part of this amazing school! The Pricipal, and teachers, and support staff all are very dedicated to helping the children learn in a loving bully free optomistic atmosphere!! Thank you for doing an amazing job!!!!! |
| 5/29/2010 | parent | This school is awesome. I am amazed at the comment that the school is dirty, as I have never noticed anything but cleanliness. My kids love it, and I appreciate the fact that I can walk in and the office staff know me and my kids. Pretty good since the school has over 900 students. The PTO is awesome and goes to great lengths to provide things the district cant |
| 2/11/2008 | parent | What a positive place to learn! My daughter, now in 4th grade, loves the supportive learning environment. We have found that the Administration and Teachers are 'on the same page' and truly are interested in creating the best learning environment. I was interested to see someone thought the school was dirty. I have never seen that problem in this school. We all want our children to have the best learning environment and best opportunities and I feel that Progress South meets and exceeds those requirements. I am proud to have a child that attends this school! |
| 1/10/2008 | parent | I am so thankful to this schools staff and teachers for helping my 2 sons. One of which has special needs and they have been wonderful working with us and him to help him suceed |
| 10/24/2005 | parent | I am really glad that my son attends this school. He is in kindergarten and his teacher is VERY good with all the children. She sends home pages and pages of what the students are learning/will be learning and projects coming up. This school is a very concerned and focus on education. |
| 8/5/2005 | parent | Incredibly involved and caring teachers and a strong administration make this school what it is! The students are learning, progressing and happy! The teachers are caring and concerned with each child's well-being beyond academics. Parental involvement is great! Where the District's Board of Education cannot always find funding (due to tax-payer apathy) the PTA steps in and provides funding for technology, learning programs, playground equipment and support of programs and projects. Creativity and individuality are flourishing. This is an excellent school that I am proud to say my child attended for five years. She is now in middle school. Due to her excellent test scores (earned while attending Progress South), she was invited at age 12, to take the college entrance exams (ACT/SAT) and participated in a summer program at Truman State University, taking a college level course! A great place for learning with many extracurricular opportunities! You'll love this school! |
| 2/17/2005 | former student | I find this school very different! I wouldn't say it is the greatest for a public school and it could be improved, yet it is okay! I went to this is school in 5th grade and I am in 7th graede now. when I went to Progress South I found constant name calling ( needs to improve) bad language ( need improvement) and other things. Ft Zummwalt School District most definetly needs improvements! |
| 9/7/2004 | parent | My son is attending kindergarten at Progress South and I find the condition of the school disgusting. It is constantly dirty and littered with trash and papers. For such a respected school district, I would have expected a much nicer and cleaner learning environment. |
| 4/9/2004 | parent | Excellent school. Children are given the opportunity to express their creativity and individuality. |
