| 10/5/2009 | parent | I am the proud parent of two children currently attending, and one alumni, of Bush Elementary. The school does a magnificent job in the face of great adversity. Nearly 90% of the students are eligible for Free/Reduced Lunches, and live below the poverty line. The school, in the face of ever-increasing budget constraints, does the best that it can in providing excellent, evidence-based practices and works hard at securing extracurricular programs to fulfill the students' needs. They have continued to provide these programs although they've lost considerable federal grants to finance them. All of my children have received, and are receiving an excellent education in the face of this adversity. They definitely deserve a little help, and they will continue to do well, if it is not granted. |

This school offers a variety of music, art, sport, and extracurricular activities to help the students stay busy as well as promote academic success. Parent involvement is very high in the school to maintain the best level of communication between the parents and the teachers. The administration in the school is phenominal. I commend this school on continuing the highest level of excellence in academics and student success. |
